PRG turns the tide on Bishops
The hockey fixture against Bishops is traditionally one of the toughest for many of PRG’s hockey teams, but has in the past proven to be especially tough for the A sides – specifically also the first team.
On Friday night (13 May), PRG’s first team gave Bishops’s a taste of their own medicine in a clinical display which culminated in well-deserved goals. Their exceptional goal tally – 7 in total for the visiting side – was aided by a penalty corner team who approached the set piece with clinical precision and their flickers kept finding the back of the net.
Bishops fought until the end, scoring from a penalty corner as the final whistle blew. However, the exceptional build-up play of the Paul Roosers proved too much and they walked away victorious, having beaten Bishops convincingly for the first time since 2012. The final score was 7-3.
