Advertising Sales Consultant

Position: Part-time Commission Based Income

Are you ready for an exciting career with your community online newspaper? Stellenbosch Monitor is looking for someone to join our team in Stellenbosch.

This position will generate advertising sales as well as following-up existing advertisers. The candidate will enter display advertising orders into our layout system, and issue reports as requested.

Essential to this position is flexibility, excellent organisational and time-management skills, and the ability to juggle concurrent projects.

Requirements:

  1. Searching out opportunities for making new sale.
  2. Matric plus relevant tertiary education
  3. Minimum two years sales experience.
  4. Proven sales track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets with a track record of delighting clients.
  5. Preference given to candidates who are tech-savvy and who have a good understanding of digital marketing.
  6. Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with a good command of the English language.
  7. Strong relationship building ability and skills essential.
  8. Ability to work and deliver under pressure.
  9. Must be set-up to work remotely.
  10. Self-autonomy with the ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  11. Excellent planning and organisational skills
